Star Wars Go Rogue | Chapter 1

Do you have parental controls set on your child's Kindle? YouTube can definitely be a dangerous place for kiddos, as there is no censoring and pretty much anything goes. Definitely preview any YouTube videos before you let your kids watch them. Some of them look harmless but turn out to be not at all what they appeared. My younger kids do not have access to YouTube at all, unless I pull it up with my parental code and show them a video. Once you've made sure all your safety precautions are in place, here is a fun video that you CAN show them!

Every year for 9/11 I read this book to my children. Never forget the heroes who did not come back for their shoes.

Reading PDFs On Your Kindle - and a FREEBIE!

What do you do if you have a regular old PDF file that is not converted for Kindle but you want to read it on a Kindle? Set up an email address in the email program on the Kindle. Email the PDF to that email address. When you pull up the email, double click on the attachment and it will open in the correct reader. Works for Word & Excel docs, too! (Depending on your software, the documents may be read-only.) Try it with this freebie today from Homeschool Freebie of the Day.
