We just adopted this adorable beagle puppy from my brother, because his work schedule changed and he couldn't really handle the dog anymore. It has been an adjustment, to say the least, for our 10-year-old Eskie, but they are getting along quite well, as long as the puppy always lets the older dog eat first and pretty much have his way. The Eskie weighs 14 pounds less than the bigger puppy, but he has established himself as the alpha male, able to get the puppy under him and on his back in any squabble, and also knowing that those floppy ears are quite sensitive!
