Homeschool Giveaway

I have never tried a blog giveaway before, so let's try one, shall we?  Knowledge Quest has a wonderful collection of maps, timelines, and other historical items to complement any school curriculum.  One of my favorite things from them is the Wonders of Old hardcover, blank timeline book.  My kids and I are filling that up and making kind of a scrapbooked timeline of our studies.  So I was ecstatic when they designed their first iPhone/iPod/iPad App, the Wonders of Old: Ancient Timeline.

This interactive timeline is packed with information and bright pictures, for $4.99 in the iTunes Store.  Also available are the Map Trek: Ancient World and the next timeline in the series, Wonders of Old:  Medieval Timeline.  I love the idea of being able to use Apps on my iPhone and my son's iPod Touch as educational supplements.  These Apps are fun for the kids, and the kids are learning how to use technology in their daily lives.  We have incorporated quite a lot of technology and computer-based-education into our homeschool in the last year or so.

I was not only impressed by the App itself, but I was extremely impressed with the excellent customer service.  I had some problems with my first download (all corrected now), and when I emailed the developer about them, he sent me two promo codes, so that I could download another copy for myself and share one with someone else.  So I am going to share that with you.  Whether you are a home-schooler or you are just schooling at home on the side (you know you all put in countless hours helping kids with homework and projects no matter what kind of school they are in),  "Follow" me and then leave me a comment about how you use or would like to use technology in education.  I will pick a random commenter on Wednesday, May 25, to receive a promo code to download the Wonders of Old: Ancient Timeline App from iTunes!
