What field trips do you love this time of year? We live in North Carolina, so pumpkin patches and farms are always popular!
We began our school year a few weeks ago with the Biltmore House, the most popular historical field trip in our area!
National Parks and other national landmarks are always fun and educational, and they are not too crowded at this time of year.
Yosemite
Grand Canyon
Monument Valley
And of course, destinations like Disney parks are always popular!

How is the school year going for you so far? I know some started back in July or have gone year-round. Others started with a traditional school year in August or September. And then some of us. . . well, can we just call it un-schooling? 😃 Our family was supposed to move this past summer. The move got pushed up to September, and then in the middle of moving, Hurricane Florence hit North Carolina. We are in the far western part of the state, so all we got was a lot of rain, thankfully. We used to live in New Bern, NC, where Florence hit the hardest. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you who were touched by this disaster.
For us, all this just means that we are WAY off schedule, and I apologize profusely to anyone who has been waiting for our Study History With Us - Ancient History to begin. We are finally on it, so let's celebrate the arrival of autumn - my favorite time of year - and get going!
